Matchday 20 preview

Schalke is visiting Bochum this Saturday. Schalke, who are way behind their expectations this season. Meaning they either continue miserably and we’ll get that all important home result, or they’ll recover and thrash us like never before.
Otto Rehagel – of not-so-recent Rehakles fame – once said, “if you’re desperate and everything just seems to go wrong, you need to play Bochum next saturday”. Well, that was 20 years ago, I guess. If I remember correctly, we managed quite a result against Königsblau two years ago…
Though this time things look rather different, we have quite a bunch of players missing from the first squad (Maltritz, Yahia, Mieciel and Concha come to mind, plus Ono, the reason the Bochum homepage is available in japanese). At least Klimowicz, Schröder, Sestak and Fuchs are apparently fit enough to make an appearance.
Well, well, well, I’m far from optimistic, but then again Schalke are rather shaken at the moment, which keeps me hoping.
